Europe Trip 2015 – Day 5 – Lund, Sweden

April 2, 2015

Lund, Sweden is a town in the south of Sweden, near Malm√∂,with a population of about 80,000 people. It’s largely a college town, with a big university anchoring the city. I had the good fortune of staying with a local, my friend Jessica, who lives in student-style apartments. It was the start of the Easter holiday weekend, so many folks were out of town, but that just meant fewer crowds for me (which is always a good thing).

We ordered pizza for lunch, and it was served with different dressings, bread, and a “pizza salad” of sorts (pictured above), consisting of marinaded cabbage, corn, and the works. The actual pizza (not pictured, ate it too fast) was easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.

Bikes and cobblestones seem to be a common theme in Scandinavia.

This was dinner: Bread, cheese, eggs, onions, and a salty fish roe paste. Pretty good, and pretty hardy!
